Hi there,

A really good product that is portable is the "Franklin Speaking
Language Master special edition". This is a hand held speaking
dictionary, thesaurus, grammer handbook and spelling corrector. It uses
batteries or an adapter. You can also connect it to a earphone, so
others in the class will not hear your selections. I have a friend who
is doing his PHD and teachs and uses this in his class for his own needs
eg: pronuciation of words. I have also seen others at the university
with this and similiar products.
It's a great product. I live in western Canada but the product comes
from the U.S. therefore it should be available across North America.
