I am just starting my son on Ritalin. I have read several
articles about the brand name Ritalin being more effective
than the generics. Most of the articles are not totally
anti-generic, but felt that this was a specific case where
the brand name is better.
When I asked the pharmacist for brand name, he gave me
generic and I had to go back to get it changed. He tried
to persuade me that his brand of generic was okay, even
though other pharmacies might use lower quality generics.
Has anyone had a direct experience with this? Is there a
difference?
