You didn't know you could have any input to your daughter's IEP?! You, as her
parent, are an automatic member of the team. Does your daughter's school not
notify you every year when they do the IEP over again? Anything you want, within
reason (IE, asking for a new house or a pool isn't going to fly) that affects your
daughter's education needs to be on that IEP. If she needs large paper, more time,
special pencils, typing lessons, whatever... it needs to be on the accommodations.
Contact your daughter's counselor or principal. I don't know who you'd actually
speak to since she doesn't have an actual special education teacher. The parent of
one of my student's would contact me, because I'm their case manager and the
teacher.
