I'm trying to find out some information about a section of the law
(either 503 or 504) which allows children who are having difficulties
which are not classifiable in the normal sense to be able to get some
sort of accommodation.
Since testing has not shown anything classifiable and the powers that
be are talking "retention", I felt I better get on my "advocate" suit
and try to find information on this.
Some details:
My daughter IS eligible for Speech and Language training and OT, but
in her school work she is marked down for letter and number reversals,
even though this is one of the things that the OT is supposed to
address.
Also, a previous round of testing suggested that a "reduction in
output" would be a good idea but that has not been implemented.
