Who recognizes these information processing deficiency symptoms?

Posted by Hubert

My 12 year old son has always had learning problems. Although he got a
lot of help at school, there is little real improvement.
I hope there is someone who can diagnose his problems sothat we can
find specific therapy for his problems.

Symptoms
----------------
-difficulty grasping the main topics in a text he reads.
-difficulty understanding a more complex task description
-difficulty recalling a verbal task description
-difficulty learning lists of foreign words (e.g. words for his French
lessons)

Possibly related symptoms
-----------------------------------------
-when someone talks to him he sometimes is slow to react
-he had a difficult birth
-when sporting, he is a bit jerky in his movements

Certainly no problem
-------------------------------
-No problems with spelling and reading
-Good hearing and eyesight
